•    How sourcing executives can succeed in the shift to increasing speed of change and new buyer dynamics

A world-wide strategy with an Italian flavor
By:
Nicola Chessa, Worldwide Information System Director, Gucci
In a very competitive and cost sensitive economic landscape, sourcing is getting more and more a critical success factor for any IT organization. A general introduction to the sourcing discipline and the related organization model will be given, together with an overview of the most common  challenges encountered by the players in the market.  The key objective is to establish a sourcing organization able to reach the proper balance between demand and supply. From this perspective is important to define the right governance model synchronizing the sourcing process with all the other relevant entities (spanning from Finance to Business Operations).  The case presented will be focused on how to organize the sourcing governance in a very complex and fragmented application landscape.

Keynote:
Q&A on stage: BPO at Delta Lloyd
By:
Hans Cohen, Director Operations, Delta Lloyd Group and Erwin Dreuning, CEO, Stater
Delta Lloyd has strategically decided to outsource parts of their mortgages processes to specialized services provider Stater.  As these processes are both specific for the banking industry as well as a primary process for Delta Lloyd, this outsourcing has different dynamics than outsourcing of secondary and generic business processes (such as F&A, HRM, ICT and Facility Management). During a Q&A session between Delta Lloyd, Stater and Quint Wellington Redwood, the specific possibilities, challenges and dynamics of this kind of primary BPO will be shared with you.

Keynote:
BPO maturity in The Netherlands
By:   Bianca den Elsen, Senior Executive Business Process Outsourcing, Accenture
The speed of developments in business process outsourcing (BPO) has been increasing the last few years. The same goes for the development of new generations of BPO solutions. But are organisations really acting on those developments? And if so, what can we say about the solutions involved, the BPO maturity of organisations themselves and the industries that dominate the stage? Outsource Magazine and Accenture have done extensive research and determined the BPO maturity of companies and institutions in several branches in The Netherlands. The focus of this research was on outsourcing of business processes like HR,  finance & accounting, procurement, marketing et cetera. Accenture will gladly share the results with you.

Keynote:
The end of outsourcing as we know it.
By:
Thomas Mendel, VP EMEA, HfS Research (‘Horses for Sources’)
At the end of the day, it’s not all about outsourcing and it’s not all about shared services; it’s about focusing on how to globalize processes, how to transform finance (and other) functions, and how to govern it all in a global business services context.  There is no dominant model, it’s more about achieving the right balance across all delivery models to achieve the best business goals. In this keynote, Thomas Mendel will discuss:
•    Why traditional outsourcing and BPO have reached their limits
•    Where the new challengers are coming from
•    How the new world of outsourcing will look like

BREAK OUT SESSION PART I

  PEER SESSION BY VOPAK
Title:   Co-creation at Vopak: guts and mutual trust
Theme:   Vopak, operator of a large number of terminals worldwide, together with supplier Emerson, developed a new terminal for fuel distribution – plus corresponding management software. Not trying to invent the wheel themselves, they developed an extensive software system in co-creation with a supplier. Few even attempt this route. Often you see a lack of courage and mutual trust. What will the other do with the co-created findings? How much exclusivity does the customer want? The path of co-creation has a lot of bumps along the way. Vopak and Emerson will explain how they successfully brought this project to an end.
Speaker:   Louis Janssen, Terminal Automation & IT manager Vopak & Cor Vermeijs, European business developer Emerson

  PEERSESSION USG PEOPLE
Title:   Vendor management is not sexy but necessary!
Theme:   Last year, Eric Foppen and colleagues succeeded in successfully rounding off a large outsourcing, in record pace and despite unfavourable economic conditions. Eric was rewarded for this effort with a TOMMIE Award by Outsource Magazine. In his presentation Eric will explain how he puts his stamp on the relationship with vendors. He will emphasize the importance of trust, while at the same time having grip in dynamic situations. He will also share his vision on sourcing and sourcing management in the very international and dynamic environment that is USG People.
Speaker:   Eric Foppen, Sr. Supplier and Contractsmanager USG People

  PEERSESSION ALLIADE
Title:   Strategic Sourcing at Alliade
Theme:   Alliade is one of the largest healthcare groups in the northern part of Holland. What does strategic sourcing mean to Alliade, which elements play a role in the Make or Buy decisions?
Many activities and processes have been outsourced – for example, recently the human resources department - which lessons can be learned?
The pros en cons of outsourcing, as experienced by Alliade.
Speaker:   Etso Pier MBA, Director Concern Servicecentre Alliade

  EXPERT SESSION BY ACCENTURE
Title:   Infrastructure Service Delivery 2.0
Theme:   Will cloud make infrastructure outsourcing obsolete? The current technology trends have an significant impact on the way we will manage and deliver IT infrastructure in the future. This leads to a change to a service oriented operating model combined with optimized sourcing which requires new IT capabilities and skills.
Speaker:   Ron Evers, Senior Manager Infrastructure Consulting Accenture

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY VERIZON
Title:   The sourcing life cycle in the MoClo era
Theme:   New Technologies will shift the IT Landscape and we’ve entered the next major era of computing that is based on cloud and mobility, the MoClo era. This wave will create a discontinuity in a company’s business processes and commercial models. Gartner in a recent report says cloud computing and offshoring are becoming mainstream, and are quickly changing the IT market. The market expects scalability, cost-efficiency and pay-per-use pricing models from cloud services solutions. During the next few years market dynamics will determine whether cloud-enabled outsourcing will be the demise of traditional outsourcing; whether it will lead to the convergence of services and products currently marketed ‘as a service’, or whether it will result in next-generation outsourcing.
To avoid the potential pitfalls and hidden costs of cloud sourcing, organizations need to ensure they understand the short- and long-term implications of cloud services, on the demand and supply side, as well as on the sourcing life cycle itself. The services sourcing life cycle includes four crucial elements: sourcing strategy, vendor selection, contracting, and management and governance. During this Roundtable we will discuss the sourcing life cycle as a critical area to plan and manage in the MoClo era, regardless of whether organizations source their IT services through internal or external resources.
Speaker:   Paul Callaghan, SVP Verizon
Host:   Fedor Hoevenaars, AVP Verizon

Bart van der Linden will give his view on innovation in an outsourcing relationship and explain how outcome based agreements can create innovative enduring strategic partnerships.
Speaker:   Bart van der Linden, Researcher/Analyst Giarte
Host:   Jerry Boezel, Managing Director T-Systems Nederland

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY LEVI9
Title:   Making co-creation a reality
Theme:   Exact and Levi9 have been working closely together for over 4 years, in a close partnership that goes far beyond a traditional customer-supplier relationship. They do this in a distributed scrum team, in which shared responsibility is key. This successful way of working is possible because the two organizations know each other well, the processes are optimized, there is a cultural fit and a personal relationship between the various team members. In this session Exact and Levi9 will explain how they achieve co-creation through close cooperation. There will not be a methodology and technology focus, but they will explain how human aspects are crucial for making this a success.
Speaker:   Werner van der Meer, development manager Exact & Tatyana Golovnya Levi9
Host:   Monique de Nijs, Accountmanager Levi9

15:30-16:45

She will show a short fim, 'One Team', about partners working together as one team, with a common interest: the business of the bank. The film will provide plenty of food for thought and discussion!

Speaker:   Pieter Paauw, IT manager Vitens
Host:   Raymond Linkers, Director Sourcing METRI

  EXPERT SESSION BY KPMG
Title:   Audit and Tax in the Cloud, an unexpected perspective?
Theme:   With the increasing adoption of SaaS-based business services, a different approach to assure the reliability of business- and accounting data is needed. When selecting and contracting Saas/Cloud providers, assurance about data security and compliance are essential. But currently it’s very difficult to assess the SaaS/Cloud service providers on their promise of guaranteeing the required security and compliance levels. To counter this, the Zeker-OnLIne initiative was launched by SaaS-providers, auditors, the  Dutch Tax Authority and ECP. Zeker-OnLine develops a certificate/seal for secure accounting “in the cloud”. The Expert Session explores opportunities and threats from both a business and technical perspective.
Speaker:   Arnold Roza, IT-auditor, Dutch Tax Authority
Host:   Albert Plugge, Senior Manager KPMG

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY BRUNEL IT
Title:   Holistic Sourcing of Specialists, Local vs. Global. (dutch only)
Theme:   Talented employees are the driving force behind any company and thus increasingly the predominant production factor. Attracting the right talents is becoming ever more challenging, whether these talents are specialists from a foreign country or specialists from the Netherlands for your establishment abroad.
How can you safeguard the continuity of your company and how can you achieve growth in a time of scarcity? That is to say, a shortage of ICT specialists. How does a shortage of talent affect your company’s ability to innovate? How can you arm yourself? The solution is increasingly sought abroad. What does recruiting outside the Netherlands involve?
During this round table discussion, we will seek to answer these questions as well as related questions by means of sharing with you the outcome of our market research.
Speaker:   Marco Visser, Sales manager Brunel IT

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY VALID
Title:   It is about where YOU take the cloud
Theme:   In this round table session we will be sharing the vision of Cisco and Valid in regard to how we see customers using cloud technology and full service sourcing models to have maximal benefit. In this time it is essential that organisation have a IT model that is flexible enought for them to make the rapid market transitions needed to be successfull.

Host:   Frans Wittenberg, CTO and Head of Technical Operations Cisco the Netherlands
